This Startup Wants to Solve the Shaky Smartphone Video Recording Problems

I suck at recording any videos. My hands are shaky.  Things are getting worse when I record a video while moving around.  Fortunately, I’m not the only one 🙂 And the best thing is, there’s a solution to my problem: Gimbal system.

Thanks to the development of the system, the problem is partially solved.

A gimbal is a pivoted support that allows the rotation of an object about a single axis. A set of three gimbals, one mounted on the other with orthogonal pivot axes, may be used to allow an object mounted on the innermost gimbal to remain independent of the rotation of its support (e.g. vertical in the first animation). – Wikipedia

Many startups are trying to bring the best gimbal system for your video recording gadgets, serving a lucrative niche of those who want a more stable, better quality video recording, from any levels of expertise.

As this is a relatively new niche in the video recording market, ideas are bound to turn into realities quite rapidly.  One of the startups that I consider as the first mover in its category is FlowMotion.

Their product, FlowMotion ONE, is positioned as one of the pioneers in the action camera niche.  No more shaky videos.  However, this is not the end of the innovation.

Which led to a cutting edge solution: A gimbal system – for smartphones and wearables.

The FlowMotion ONE Smartphone Stabilizer lets you capture cinematic videos – using your smartphone.  Not only ending the shaky video problems, but the system is also equipped with auto-follow tracking, motion time-lapse, social media real time integration, and so on.

They are currently seeking funding via Kickstarter – I recommend for you to have a look-see at what the Co-Founders Lars (CEO) and Didrik (CMO) have to say about their brainchild.
